What is ICAT?

Who Are We?
ICAT (Idaho Center for Advanced Technology) is the Career & Technical School of the Nampa School District. Programs within ICAT are physically housed within the three comprehensive high schools. Students travel to and from their home high school for either one period or half day depending on what class they choose. CTE classes offer students applied learning opportunities that align to in-demand job workplace skills. Coursework is designed to prepare students for industry certifications, a seamless transition on to postsecondary technical colleges, or industry skills applicable to employment readiness. Some of the essential components of establishing a CTE program is to maintain an active industry advisory board, provide state-of-art equipment and curriculum that meets industry standards, and to promote CTE student organizations, which provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills as well competition opportunities to showcase their CTE skills.

What We Offer?
ICAT has 28 different pathways such as Business, Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science, Health Professions, Welding, Auto Mechanics, and Engineering. Our data continues to show students in our programs have higher graduation, positive placement, and go-on rates.
