Career & Technical Student Organizations

The Nampa School District Career & Technical Education recognizes six Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) as an essential component of a successful Career & Technical Education Program. CTSOs are structured with a District Lead Advisor who oversees the Lead Building Advisors who oversee the building advisors. All CTE Teachers are Advisors of their assigned CTSO.

  • Lead District Advisors- Gary Sauer and John Phillips 

    Business Professionals of America (BPA) -

    The mission of BPA is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. 

    Nampa School District BPA is available to any Nampa School District student who is taking classes in our Business & Marketing or Information Technology career pathways.  The Business & Marketing career pathways include: Accounting, Business Management and Marketing. The Information Technology career pathways include Computer Support and Programming Technology. Involvement as an active BPA member is one of the most rewarding aspects of our Business Technology Education and Information Technology programs.

  • The Lead District Advisor - Marla Marosvari 

    Family Career & Community Leaders of America

    The FCCLA organization's objective is to promote personal growth, character development, career readiness and leadership development and opportunities through Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

    Nampa School District FCCLA is available to any Nampa School District student who is taking classes in our Family Consumer Sciences career pathways.  The Family and Consumer Sciences career pathways include: Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Development, and Education Assistant.  Involvement as an active FCCLA member is one of the most rewarding aspects of our Family Consumer Science education program.

  • Lead District Advisor - Janna Volkers

    Nampa School District FFA

    FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

    The FFA motto gives members twelve short words to live by as they experience  the opportunities in the organization.

    Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.

    Nampa School District FFA is available to any Nampa School District student who is taking classes in our Agriculture & Natural Sciences career pathways.  The Agriculture & Natural Sciences career pathways include: Ag Mechanics, Animal Science, and Ornamental Horticulture.  Involvement as an active FFA member is one of the most rewarding aspects of our agriculture education program.

  • Lead District Advisor - Lucretia Bollinger

    Future Health Professionals (HOSA) -

    HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance and deliver quality health care to all people.  HOSA's goal is to encourage all health occupations, instructors and students to join and be actively involved in Future Health Professionals.

    HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation and recognition for secondary students enrolled in health occupations programs.  HOSA is 100% healthcare.

    Nampa School District HOSA is available to any Nampa School District student who is taking classes in our Health Professions career pathways.  The Health Professions career pathways include; Dental Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician and Sports Medicine/Personal Training.  Involvement as an active HOSA member is one of the most rewarding aspects of our Health Professions program.

  • Lead District Advisor - Bret Miller

    SkillsUSA -

    SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.  SkillsUSA offers leadership, citizenship and character development programs along with organized activities to compliment skill training available in high schools and technical colleges.

    SkillsUSA emphasizes respect for the dignity of work, high standards in trade ethics, workmanship, scholarship and safety.  It promotes the understanding of the free enterprise system and encourages development of patriotism through the practice of democracy in the chapter. Professional development, leadership and total quality management practices are emphasized.

    Nampa School District SkillsUSA is available to any Nampa School District student who is taking classes in our Trades & Industry career pathways.  The Trades & Industry career pathways include; Automotive Technology, Auto Body Collision Repair, Broadcast Technology, Commercial Photography, Construction, Drafting, Law Enforcement, Power Sports Technology and Welding.  Involvement as an active SkillsUSA member is one of the most rewarding aspects of our Trades & Industry programs.

In addition to our six CTSOs, Nampa also hosts a team of representatives from each of the CTSOs and Program Areas, known as NSD's Joint Student Leadership Team. This team of 12 students work with our student organizations to establish consistent guidelines for the operation and expectation of our Career-Technical Student Organizations.  The JSL team serve as ambassadors for the Nampa School District at community service events, conferences and expand the relationship between Nampa School District CTE Programs and our Industry Partners.
